Notice of City Council Public Hearing April 27, 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Chapter 35A.63.220 of the Revised Code of Washington, the Covington City Council will a hold a public hearing regarding the renewal and extension of Ordinance No. 15-2020, which imposed interim land use regulations associated with the provision of on-site recreation space for new multifamily development in the Downtown zones by amending Covington Municipal Code 18.35.005, Applicability.  The City Council’s public hearing will take place on Tuesday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. This City Council regular meeting will be held telephonically and virtually to comply with state executive and legislative actions that indefinitely prohibit public agencies from meeting in person. This prohibition will remain in effect until the termination of the COVID‑19 state of emergency, or until rescinded by gubernatorial or legislative action.

 The purpose of this public hearing is for the City Council to receive comments from the public, both written and oral, regarding the renewal and extension of the above described Ordinance No. 15-2020, which was adopted by the City Council on October 14, 2020, with an effective dated of November 26, 2020.
