Virtual Community Meeting Re: Downtown Form Based Code Draft EIS March 4 at 3:30 p.m.

The Downtown Form Based Code and SEPA Infill Exemption Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS) will be issued on March 3, 2021 for public review and comment. The City of Covington, Washington encourages your participation and comments on this environmental analyses of proposed amendments to the Covington Municipal Code during the 30-day public comment period from March 3 to April 2, 2021.

Environmental review is carried out under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). Your comments may address either the adequacy of the document or the merits of the alternatives or both. You may comment on the Draft EIS’s methodology, alternatives, elements of the environment, mitigation measures, probably significant impacts and potential conditions on any approvals to be considered by the City as well as the components of the proposed code amendments. All written comments received on the Draft EIS during the 30-day comment period will be reviewed and considered in the preparation of the Final EIS.

VIRTUAL COMMUNITY MEETING
During the public comment period an online community meeting will be held virtually via the Zoom platform at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 to help the public learn about and comment on the Draft EIS.
