Planning Commission Notice of Public Hearing March 4 re Code Amendments to Chapter 18.45 CMC Tree Preservation and Proection

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Covington Planning Commission will a hold a public hearing for consideration of amendments to Chapter 18.45 of the Covington Municipal Code (CMC) Tree Preservation and Protection. The Planning Commission’s public hearing will take place on Thursday March 4, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held telephonically and virtually to protect the health and safety of staff and the public, and to comply with state executive and legislative actions that indefinitely prohibit public agencies from meeting in person. This prohibition will remain in effect until the termination of the COVID 19 state of emergency, or until rescinded by gubernatorial or legislative action.

The purpose of this public hearing is for the Planning Commission to receive comments from the public, both written and oral, regarding the proposed amendments and to forward a recommendation to the City Council. These amendments are a non-project proposal and will apply citywide. A hard copy of the application material prepared for these amendments by city staff is available at City Hall.
