City Playgrounds and Other Park Amenities Reopen Today

Now that King County is in phase 2 and with guidance from public health, we opened areas of the parks starting today that had been kept closed to this point – this includes playgrounds, the skate park and restrooms.

However, not everything is back to “normal.” We do have special rules in place to help reduce the spread of COVID19, which is aligned with Safe Start Washington. This includes social distancing, washing hands or using hand sanitizer before and after playing on playgrounds, and if a playground is crowded, then we ask people to enjoy another area of the park or visit another playground.
