The City of Covington intends to acquire the above property rights through negotiation or through potential use of its power of eminent domain (condemnation). The proposed ordinance authorizing these acquisitions and use of condemnation authority will be considered and voted on (final action) by the Covington City Council during the following public meeting:
This Ordinance is scheduled for consideration and possible action by the Covington City Council at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Pursuant to Governor Jay Inslee’s Proclamation 20-28, issued on March 24, 2020, and as updated or amended in response to the COVID-19 health crises, the City of Covington City Council meeting will be held telephonically and virtually. The meeting will be available on the Zoom Platform.

This telephonic virtual meeting is in compliance with Proclamation 20-28, as the final action to be taken as described herein is necessary for the City of Covington to continue with its essential public facility transportation projects, and it is part of the routine business of the City of Covington City Council.
