City Seeks Volunteers for Parks & Recreation Commission

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE AT 5:00 PM ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2018

The City of Covington is recruiting individuals who are interested in volunteering to serve three-year terms on the Parks & Recreation Commission. Youth commissioners serve one-year terms.

The Parks & Recreation Commission studies, investigates, counsels, and develops and/or updates written plans for the provision of recreational programming and development of parks and other natural resources with the City, taking into consideration the requirements of all grant fund agencies.

Applicants may be adults or youth ages 14 to 18 years of age at the start of their terms. Applicants must live inside city limits or within a three-mile radius of Covington city limits. Members are appointed by the City Council. The Commission meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
