The community is invited to sail the Milky Way with local astronomers who will provide star gazing expertise along with access to telescopes, binoculars and star charts. Explore the Moon, the planets, constellations, stars, clusters and galaxies that each season’s night scape presents. Dress warmly and bring a small flashlight (red filters are provided). Children with parental supervision are welcome and astronomers will bring the stars alive for small ones. Inclement weather (more than a few isolated clouds) will likely cause cancellation of the Star Party. Notice would be posted at the Seattle Astronomical Society website www.seattleastro.org. Otherwise, just look to the sky before you come! Located at Covington Community Park. There is no registration necessary- just come join the party. Star parties are free and open to the public.
