Two Public Works Projects Scheduled for Timberlane in 2018

Timberlane Roadway Improvement Project:
On November 17, 2017, the city received a pavement rehabilitation grant for the 192nd Avenue SE segment between SE 272nd Street and SE 267th Street and the SE 267th Street/194th Avenue SE segment between 192nd Avenue SE to SE 264th Street.  The city plans to participate in King County’s overlay program in 2018.

The first order of work will involve tree clearing along the median of 192nd Avenue SE.  The Douglas fiĀrs are not appropriate median trees and they have done considerable damage to the roadway.  A phase of the project will involve root removal and curb repairs.  There will also be phases creating accessible curb ramps, new landscaping, and roadway paving.
We are making every effort to have King County pave this summer, but there is a chance work won’t be completed until the summer of 2019.  During various phases of this project, we do expect some delays.  Please use caution and adjust speeds were applicable.

Timberlane Stormwater Retrofit Project:
The city has selected a contractor to work on several drainage improvement projects over the next few months.  Our contractor will be installing four water quality facilities throughout the lower Timberlane open space.  Please be aware that there will be tree and vegetation removal and equipment work in these areas.
