The City of Covington is served by a seven-member volunteer Arts Commission made up of residents passionate about art and bringing art to our community. The Arts Commission's main projects include the Student Art Show in the month of March and the Monthly Display Artist program in City Hall throughout the year. They were also instrumental in bringing the city's first public art piece to town, "SeaHorse" by Ben Dye, which is located in the courtyard of the Covington Aquatic Center.
The Arts Commission helped integrate a massive mural into the Gerry Crick Skate Park renovation project. They recruited local artist Aaron Lui-Kwan to design the mural and several skaters and community members helped to paint it.
